Job Title: Assistant Project Manager – Construction
Location: Cary, North Carolina
Job Type: This role is full-time hours on a contract basis. After the contract period, conversion to direct hire will be considered based on company needs.
We seek a dedicated Assistant Project Manager to support the successful planning, execution, and completion of our construction projects. This role ensures that all project elements align with schedules, budgets, and contractual obligations. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction management, strong organizational skills, and experience with project scheduling tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in developing and maintaining project schedules using Critical Path Management (CPM) techniques to keep projects on track.
- Support the Superintendent in implementing job site procedures, managing notifications, and overseeing signage, supplies, and equipment setup.
- Aid in identifying and implementing safety procedures on-site, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to coordinate team meetings, communicate effectively with the Owner, and complete contract documents.
- Assisting in reviewing consultant and contractor pay applications to ensure they meet contract requirements.
- Draft agendas for all project meetings, attend trade meetings and prepare meeting minutes for team reference and accountability.
- Support the Project Manager in verifying submittal conformity to project specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in construction project management or a similar role.
- Proficiency in project scheduling tools and a strong understanding of CPM techniques.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and handle multiple tasks effectively.
